‘Open Letter -2’

Dear Engin;

In Turkish, your name means:  vastness. Your character also is vastness, like open sea. Last week, after obligatory travel, I saw you in Kamnik, my friend. You were searching for a solution, wandering back and forth like a man who wished to rid himself of a painful trouble. I can see what you’re saying, because the mothers are divine in life… And I understood that she is ill.

I’m sure that you’ve seen better days in your life. Now, you have to go back into our usual roles in here. It’s like it never happened. You will talk as about the trivial things of everyday life with co-workers in your organization. And you will talk Turkey's never ending political troubles with me in here. Same as always...

But once we shut ourselves in small country, we are not unsuccessful as we thought. We made two presentation videos last week.

It’s the best we can do under the circumstances. And feedbacks about videos are perfect.  Have you heard the latest? Yesterday, I got a message from Centre for EU Education &Youth Programmes. (Turkish National Agency) That’s just what we need it. I expect to see some results soon. In the long run, everything will be OK.

By the way, I saw this article about Slovenia in Turkish Newspaper. Thanks, Engin. I feel proud of you. But, in my opinion, you’re carrying the world on your shoulders in Slovenske Konjice.

Did you get ‘A’ for your effort? Always same story: ‘indifference’, like my organization. There’s nothing we can do about it. But this news was important.

Don’t forget that it’s always darkest before dawn.

Hoşçakal,
